We know what people are thinking and feeling, and it’s not because we’re psychic.
Since November 2006, a partnership founded by The Rossman Group and Denno-Noor Research have conducted survey research — we call them our Quarterly Poll (ok, not the most creative name) — to find out just what voters think about the latest issues on the Michigan political landscape. Today, along with our partner the Perricone Group, the poll tests likely voters on candidate match-ups, issue importance, economic conditions and even an occasional fun question or two. Always ahead of the curve, the Quarterly Poll was the first to test Joe Dumars’ name as a gubernatorial candidate in 2006 and guage Detroit voter perception on former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick after the text scandal broke. Read up on what you missed here.

Every day, voters and community leaders alike across Michigan, are scratching their heads, trying to makes sense of what’s happening in Lansing. As leaders in the Michigan political scene, Capitol Insiders (legislators, senators, capitol press corps and lobbyists) have a unique vantage point on the front-line of the action at the State Capitol, and their perceptions often become reality. The good news is you can stop scratching your head, because The Rossman Group truly has our fingers on the pulse of the State Capitol. We’ve developed our Lobby Guide Litmus Test to gauge the perceptions of Capitol Insiders on a variety of issues, including the Governor’s recent State of the State address.
